A man has been reported for drink driving, after he was caught by police in Port Augusta West last week.
Port Augusta police stopped the man’s Kia wagon on Harris Crescent at about 10pm on Thursday 12 June, after it had been seen driving without its headlights turned on.
During the police stop, it was revealed that the 48-year-old man was driving unlicenced.
He underwent a breath test, where he allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.156, more than three times the legal limit.
The local man was reported for drink driving and driving unlicenced never held.
His car was also impounded for 28 days and he is expected to appear in court at a later date.
