Yorke Mid North detectives have extradited two Broken Hill men following an alleged armed robbery at a Yorketown property earlier this year.

Police allege the men threatened a 74‑year‑old occupant with a firearm during the incident in February, before stealing firearms and cash. The victim sustained head injuries during the alleged robbery.

Both men were arrested in New South Wales and have since been extradited to South Australia.

They face multiple charges, including aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful detention and making threats to kill.

Police say the men were initially arrested by New South Wales officers after a white Hyundai van was stopped near Broken Hill, with stolen firearms, cash and other items allegedly recovered.

The pair are due to appear via video link before the Port Pirie Magistrates Court today.
