If you have not tried squashing alien bugs with your friends yet, you no longer have an excuse. PlayStation has officially added Helldivers 2 to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe Game Catalogue, meaning subscribers can jump into the chaotic action today at no extra cost.

Since launching in 2024, the co-op shooter has clocked up more than 22.9 million players across PS5, PC, and Xbox. But Sony is not stopping there.
Alongside joining the catalogue, the game is dropping a brand-new Warhammer 40,000 crossover called the Castellan’s Creed Legendary Warbond. Players can now deck out their characters in legendary armour and weapons inspired by the iconic Cadian Kasrkin shock troops.
If high-powered armour is not enough to pull you back in, an eerie new narrative update called “Devoid of Liberty” also launches today. A mysterious void in space is mutating enemy organisms into terrifying new forms, bringing a spooky horror twist to your usual missions.
And if you really end up loving the world of Helldivers, mark your calendars: Sony Pictures has officially announced a live-action movie adaptation heading to cinemas on 10 November 2027.
