Councils will be able to apply for money to make swimming pools, sporting grounds and courts more energy efficient under a 100 million dollar federal fund.
The government has unveiled the Community Energy Upgrades Fund at a Local Government Association.
The new $100 million Community Energy Upgrades Fund will co-fund upgrades with local councils and has the potential to unlock over $200 million in high-impact energy upgrades to save community facilities on bills over the medium and long term.
