Good news for a local footy player.
In the second round of draft picks for the AFL, Kane McAuliffe, a former central Augusta footy club player, has ended up as Richmonds first selection.
After doing trades with freemantle and the west coast eagles earlier in the night the tigers ended up with two future third round picks and and the pick number 40 they used to pick midfielder McAuliffe from North Adelaide.
