Due to ongoing workforce shortages, Goyder’s Line Medical are withdrawing their Peterborough services.

The group says it has been a very difficult decision, and they recognize how important the clinic has been to the community.

Their final day of service will be August 8, with local hospital services unaffected by the change.

Independent Member for Stuart, Geoff Brock, says it is frustrating.

“The issue now is if there’s no doctor available in Peterborough, how does that impact the hospital there?”

“The people in Peterborough and other smaller locations deserve to have some sort of medical assistance or availability,” he said.

Mr. Brock says he’s been talking to the Minister for Health in South Australia and will have discussions with the new Federal Member for Grey, Tom Venning.

Goyder’s Line Medical has been contacted for comment.
