The Northern Areas Council has welcomes Ross McNeil as its new Chief Executive Officer, with the experienced leader officially starting in the role on Monday, 21 July.
Originally from New Zealand, Mr McNeil brings a strong background in local government, having held senior executive positions across several New Zealand councils. He is known for driving innovative service delivery and community-focused governance.
“I’m honoured to have joined the Northern Areas Council,” Mr McNeil said. “I look forward to collaborating with elected members, staff, community stakeholders, and partner organisations.”
Mayor Sue Scarman said Mr McNeil’s fresh perspective and leadership style would be a great asset to the region.
Over the coming weeks, the new CEO will focus on meeting staff, elected members, and local stakeholders as he settles into life in South Australia. He also plans to visit towns across the district and connect with residents to help guide the Council’s future direction.
