The state budget’s infusion triples the OCA’s funding, securing an annual sum of $2.24 million starting from 2023-24.

The OCA, operating like a local council, oversees public services across a vast 63% of South Australia.

This coverage encompasses numerous communities like Andamooka, Blinman, Innamincka, Iron Knob, Leigh Creek, Oodnadatta, Fowlers Bay, Penong, and William Creek.

This fresh funding from the SA overnment ensures comprehensive resources for the OCA, allowing the full funding of pivotal services catering primarily to the substantial influx of visitors to the South Australian outback.
