A long-term Council director has been named as the new CEO of the Port Pirie Council.
Chris Davey will officially assume the role on October 13, following the retirement of Peter Ackland.
Mr Davey is no stranger to the community, having worked with Council for over ten years on the Executive Management team, and recently serving as Director of Development and Regulation and Acting CEO.
In a statement, Mr Davey said his key focus is having a positive impact both on the organisation and the wider community.
Mayor Leon Stephens said the appointment will enable the Council a seamless transfer and continuous delivery of the Council’s Community and Long Term Financial plans.
