A Port Pirie man has been caught drink driving outside a local primary school during a police road safety operation.
Police stopped the 30-year-old around 9am on Monday, 21 July, as part of Operation Return to School.
The man was leaving Risdon Park Primary School when he was breath tested, allegedly returning a reading of 0.113 – more than twice the legal limit.

Further checks revealed his drivers’ licence had also expired.
He was issued a six-month instant loss of licence, had his car impounded for 28 days, and was reported for drink driving and driving unlicensed.
He will face court at a later date.
