The State Government is stepping up support for vulnerable low-income households in the Spencer gulf, announcing the completion of dozens of new public homes.
While in Whyalla for the cabinet meeting on Monday, Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Nick Champion, shared the latest data on public housing projects.
According to the report, 65 public homes have recently been completed, with 91 more currently under construction and 16 contracted to start in the coming weeks.
In Whyalla 10 homes have just been finished, with 27 more underway and another 9 set to begin soon.
22 homes have been completed in Port Augusta and 24 are under construction, while Port Pirie reports 5 completed and 2 in progress.
