Twelve local community projects are set to share in over $360,000 in State Government funding.
Grants SA’s Social Impact Round Two offered funding of up to $10,000.
Of the successful grant recipients, nearly half are based in regional or remote SA, including the Orroroo Regional Tourism Group who received almost $6,000 to supply and install a reverse cycle air conditioner to the Second Chance Preloved Shop.
Wallaroo Community Sports Club will use their funding to purchase an oven.
Northern Area Community and Youth Services will use $9,000 to buy IT equipment to provide access and improve digital literacy of disadvantaged community members.
Peterborough Community Garden will purchase an electric wheelbarrow to help older people and those with a disability participate.
Clare Agricultural and Horticultural Society will use their $9,700 to install an air conditioner and furnishings in the Clare Showgrounds sensory and calm room, Burra Railway Station will do the same for their railway station refreshment room.
Puddle Jumpers will buy kitchen appliances for the Blyth Campsite Kitchen.
Riverton Community Management Committee scored just over $8,000 for a shelter, paving and outdoor furniture at the Jingles Garden.
Snowtown Bowling Club were awarded $10,000 in funding to supply and install a shelter between the clubrooms and maintenance shed.
Colours Of Orroroo Arts will use their grant money to buy tables and chairs for the Hub.
Edithburgh Sporting and Community Club will purchase kitchen equipment to the tune of $8,500.
And the Rotary Club of Port Pirie will purchase a portable sound system to improve meetings for hearing impaired members.
