The Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board hope to one day add a furry friend to their team.
Some South Australian landscape boards are using canine detectives to sniff out pest animals and rare species with extreme accuracy.
They can sniff out fox dens, Kowari burrows, Pygmy blue tongue lizards, and a rare butterfly.

With a great track record so far, SA landscape boards plan to expand the use of detection dogs for other projects in the future.
