A 14-year-old boy has been arrested following a series of offences in Port Augusta over the weekend.
Around 1.40am on Saturday, 19 July, police were called to a home on Hannagan Street after reports a boy had broken in and stolen car keys. He allegedly attempted to steal the car but crashed it in the yard before fleeing the scene.
A short time later, police responded to reports of a disturbance at a store on Augusta Highway, where the same teen was accused of smashing a car window in the car park and causing a scene inside the business.
Officers located the boy nearby and arrested him. The Port Augusta teenager has been charged with breach of bail, aggravated serious criminal trespass, non-residential serious criminal trespass, illegal use, property damage and assault.
He was refused bail and is due to faced court on Monday, 21 July.
