New Year’s Eve at Wallaroo will be celebrated with fireworks at midnight, putting to rest previous concerns about their cancellation.
A Copper Coast Council spokesperson confirmed the midnight fireworks will proceed alongside a light display on the Viterra silos.
Originally, a budget of $50,000 was proposed for the celebration, but it was subsequently reduced to $25,000.

The approved budget is enough to cover the family-friendly fireworks at 9.30pm as well as the midnight show.
