It might be one of the regions hardest hit by the toxic algal bloom, but it seems more Adelaide holidaymakers are heading to the Yorke Peninsula.
The region was recently named as one of the state’s top spots for an affordable escape.
According to a recent RAA Travel survey, the Yorkes ranked as the second most popular destination for South Aussies choosing to holiday closer to home.

RAA Travel General Manager Gina Norman said there has been a rise in staycations and weekends away, with the cost of living at the front of mind for getaways.
