Nine charged over NSW gun supply syndicate

Nine people have been charged over their alleged involvement in a gun supply syndicate that on-sold firearms stolen from rural properties across NSW.

Police have arrested seven men and two women since last November at a range of spots around the state, including Hornsby, Windsor, Woy Woy, Dubbo, Gosford and Fairfield.

It will be alleged in court that a 34-year-old man received nearly $60,000 last year from supplying guns and gun parts, with many of the firearms stolen from rural properties across the state.

Police said the nine arrested remain before the courts charged with offences including supplying a firearm to an unauthorised person.
