The weather was wet, wild and windy for the Spencer Gulf and Mid North over the weekend.
When asked about the heavy rainfall recorded, Meteorologist Hilary Wilson of the Bureau of Meteorologist had this to say, “It has been a wet period over the last few days across large areas of northern South Australia.”
“Some of the more notable rainfalls totals were 41mm at Melrose, 23mm at Port Augusta, 30mm at Hawker and 3mm at Clare.”
“There was certainly more rain in the northern parts of the state.”
“Over the next few days a period of strong winds has been predicted along with cooler temperatures.”
