Starting this week until the end of June, The Whyalla City Council will be trialling a new model of pop-up food service from the Foreshore area.
The pop-up stalls will be set up in a section of the Marina carpark adjacent to the jetty entrance.
Each week until June from Wednesday to Sunday between the hours of 7am-8pm there will be a temporary closure of a section of the marina carpark adjacent the jetty entrance.
This is in order to make the area family safe and pedestrian friendly.
All food vans will be concentrated in this zone, enabling them to service the high level of foot traffic to the new jetty as well as offering consumers a variety of food offerings in one location.
Council urges residents to support the local food vans wherever possible and to take advantage of the nearby marquee, tables and chairs - the perfect place to sit and enjoy the lovely foreshore views.
