The new 100-million-dollar contemporary Whyalla Secondary School is starting to take shape.
The new school is located on Nicolson Avenue in Whyalla Norrie in between the UniSA and TAFE campuses, and will replace Whyalla’s 3 existing high schools - Edward John Eyre High, Whyalla High and Stuart High.
The school will accommodate 1500 students in years 7 to 12, and enrolments are available now.
For the first time, all SA public secondary schools will be taking enrolments for year 7 students for 2022.
The roll out is expected to mean about 30,000 students to begin in year 7 and 8 through this year's state-wide transition process.
Registrations will close Friday, May 21, and offers will be sent out by Friday, August 13.
Families can get further information and a registration form from their local secondary school, education office or through the Department's website: education.sa.gov.au/enrolment
