A new project has been completed in the District Council of Mount Remarkable.
The Drought Communities Programme have unveiled a new bike track project in Melrose, installed in the scrub surrounding the Melrose Show Grounds.
The track which has been called ‘Show Time’ is reportedly perfect for beginners, covering a 3km loop full of winding adventure climbs through the trees and long roller-coaster corners.
The Council is hoping the new instalment will be popular with locals and tourists alike, especially come the June long weekend and the Fat Tyre Festival.
The project was supported by the Council's Community Economic Development Manager, Ebony Rodda, Bike Melrose representative, Kristen Norton and Trail builder from Hand Built Trails, Hugh Avey.
