A self-described “lucky” Moonta man has been left feeling completely numb, after scoring two Keno Spot 8 prizes within four days.
The winning man scored the first 50-thousand-dollar Keno Spot 8 prize on Saturday June 12, and then backed it up with another 50-thousand-dollar Spot 8 prize last Wednesday (June 16), bringing his winnings to 100 thousand dollars in total.
The Moonta resident admitted he was on cloud nine after his winning streak, and discovered his first win while at the pub where everyone was cheering for him.
He plans to spend his winnings on something fun, including a holiday up north to escape the cold.
The winning entries were both purchased at the Moonta Hotel.
In 2020, there were 37 Keno winners across South Australia, a total haul of more than $5.81 million between them.
Last financial year, Australia’s Official Lotteries contributed more than $1.4 billion via state lottery taxes and donations, helping community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
