As the region moves into day two of the lockdown, South Australian authorities are encouraging people to continue to jump on board the vaccination rollout.

Several hospitals throughout the region offer the jab and lockdown medical exemptions allow you to continue with appointments as planned.

Various chemists around the region including Risdon Pharmacy and Newbery Chemists Kadina, have also been approved to begin administering the vaccine and appointments are available now.

Some regional clinics may only offer Pfizer, which is available to people under 50, while others may only offer Astra-Zeneca which is suitable for those 50 years and over.

“The COVID-19 vaccine is voluntary, but highly recommended, because we know that vaccination is highly effective at preventing serious illness and death,” Professor Spurrier said.

Find out more about Covid-19 vaccinations or book at clinics across the state via the SA Health website.
