The SES is holding information sessions for potential volunteers in the Yorke Peninsula this week.
SES District Officer for Yorke, Philip Smith, says the sessions are a great opportunity to find out about the flexible volunteering and training options available.
Roles available include both operational and non-operational positions, with non-operational positions such as community engagement and administration, or operational roles which range from road crash rescue to storm and flood salvage and marine rescue.
Currently, there are SES units currently based at Warooka, Maitland, Port Broughton and Snowtown, with a new unit coming soon to the Copper Coast.
The first session was held at the Warooka unit last night, and remaining sessions will be held the Maitland unit tonight (October 19) and Port Broughton unit tomorrow night (October 20), all starting at 7pm.
