Off the back of several councils across the country struggling with contaminated waste issues, Port Pirie are holding a free composting workshop this Saturday.
The Regional Council and KESAB are partnering up to deliver a waste education opportunity to the community.
Understanding waste and what ends up at final destinations such as landfills, waste-to-energy plants, composting and recycling facilities correlates directly to proper waste disposal and management.
In some cases, just a few contaminated bins can ruin an entire truckload.
The free event will be held at Woodward Park from 11am-12.30pm on Saturday, head to our website for details to register.
