Various fires ignited in our region over the weekend, all have which have either controlled or significantly reduced.

A bushfire broke out in Spring Gully near the southern end of Stringly Bark Track at Hughes Park in the Clare Valley approximately 3km west of the Penwortham Township.

The threat of this fire has reduced, however people are reminded to take care in the area. Smoke will reduce visibility on the roads and there is a risk of falling trees and branches.

Another fire began on the Barrier Highway near Terowie in the Mid North.

The threat of this fire has reduced, however people are reminded to take care in the area. Smoke will reduce visibility on the roads and there is a risk of falling trees and branches.

A haystack fire ignited on Saturday and may still be causing smoke to drift in the General area of Booleroo Centre and surrounding area.

You are advised to close all doors and windows and stay indoors if the smoke is causing you concern. Be careful when driving as smoke may reduce visibility.
