All The Big Wins And Big Losses Around The Grounds

Over the weekend, round five of the local footy got underway for the Spencer Gulf, Northern Areas and Whyalla leagues.

In the SGL, Solomontown defeated West handily 140 to 33 at Central Oval, and it was a similar story over in Port Pirie, where PropRisdon defeated Souths 120 to 77.

An absolutely devastating loss in the WFL saw Centrals walk away with a 167 point win over South, who were unable to score throughout the entire match.

Saturday’s twilight match between Weeroona Bay and North was a tighter affair, Weeroona Bay getting on top, 79 to 56.

And in the Northern Areas, Orroroo sealed a win by just 5 points over Crystal Brook, while another blow out had top of the ladder Broughton-Mundoora seal the deal against Southern Flinders, 111 to 43.

Round four got underway for the North Eastern League, while round seven was done and dusted in the Yorke Peninsula.

Moonta defeated Ardrossan by almost 100 points at home, 152 to 60, while a much close game left CMS Crows and Kadina fans on the edge of their seats; Kadina just getting the edge over CMS with a five point margin, 66 to 61.

South Clare got it done this weekend against North Clare, 81 to 53, giving them their first win for the 2022 season.

Meanwhile a few heartbreakers played out in other towns – RSMU went down to MinMan 81 to 17, and Blyth-Snowtown feel at the hands of BHH, 96 to 13.
