History was made at Woodville Oval over the weekend when two female goal umpires officiated a SANFL match for the first time.
Clare local, Emilie Hill, was one of the two girls who took her position between the posts for the Woodville-West Torrens and Central Districts match on Saturday.
24-year-old Emilie, first umpired in 2013 when she was in boarding school; she would return home on weekends to goal umpire for the North Eastern Football League.
Emilie was the second ever female goal umpire to officiate in a SANFL game, making her debut back in round 16 of the 2019 season when North Adelaide drew with Glenelg.
