Finalists for the 2022 National Capital Art Prize have been announced.
This year there is a shortlist of 129 finalists from across Australia, 4 of these being from South Australia, including Alison Mitchell from Riverton and Fruzsi Kenez from Burra.
This year’s categories include: Open, First Nations Prize for Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander artists and the brand-new Sustainability Prize which opened the competition up to artworks of any medium.
The artists from SA were finalists in the Sustainability category.
All finalist artworks are now displayed in a virtual gallery and the people's choice award voting is now open.
The winner of this award will take home a cash prize of $2,500.
Voting closes on Sunday September 11.
