The Transition to Adult Life Intensive Pilot Program (TALI) is a new initiative introduced by the state government to help Whyalla young people.
Known as TALI, the program is in conjunction with Centacare Catholic Country SA and the Department of Child Protection and will have young people working with mentors through the transition.
TALI also have personal case workers who will work with each youth going through the program.
One of their Senior Aboriginal Case Managers Stacey Gray said those in the program currently are already skilled adults achieving great things.
"Young people are beginning to believe that they can achieve what they want to achieve, and probably much more than what they thought they could," she said.
Ms Gray also said the program was developed by young people who want more in life.
