Around 800 people packed River Terrace on Sunday for the 150th birthday of Redhill.
The celebrations included a church service, games, historical displays and 35 stalls.
Redhill Development Association and the Port Pirie Regional Council funded the event with one of the more popular games being egg throwing.
The aim of the game was to catch the raw egg when your partner threw it, there was also a tug-of-war with the girls stealing the win from the boys.
One of the organisers Bronwyn Mumford said the town is small but it’s definitely moving forward.
"It is a small community - a shop and service station - but it is not going backwards."
