Country Music Sensation Headed to Laura

Guitar.jpgJames Blundell is heading to Laura as part of the Laura Country Music Festival next week.

The ARIA award winner will perform on July 28 at the Laura Civic Centre as part of a mammoth weekend for the town.

The event is now in its ninth year and has attracted not only some of the country’s best musicians, but tourists from around the nation as well.

Chairman Ian White said the town loves the attraction the event brings to Laura.

"We've got a great weekend planned for our town and there are a variety of performers for all to enjoy," he said.

To cater for the country music sensation Blundell, ticket prices have risen slightly, however one of the event organisers said the prices reflect the acts you get to see.

Orroroo-based John O'Dea is also performing along with two previous talent quest winners returning as acts.

Early bird tickets on sale till July 21, for more information call Marie on 0429 913 489.
