Lions Club Helping Local Kids

Money

Two kids have been given charitable gifts from the Lions Club of Port Augusta to help with furthering their development.

Gus Price-Baxter has been fundraising to get to Darwin next Month to compete in the Australian Schools Track and Field Championships.

The 11-year-old Caritas College student will represent the state in high jump, and had $300 donated by the footy club to help with his journey.

The club was also contacted by the Australian Lions Children’s Mobility Foundation and Novita to assist with a 14-year-old Port Augusta Special School student.

Shakira Thompson is now the owner of a new trike to help her build up strength and coordination while putting a smile on her face.

The club says thank you to the community for supporting them with their fundraising events to make these local donations happen.
