The annual Variety Vic Bash is heading to the region with O’Leary Walker Wines in the Clare Valley set to be the next stop.
With almost 100 cars, the journey from Wyndham Vale is to raise money for kids facing challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with a disability.
As described by its founder, Dick Smith, the Variety Bash is ‘a drive in the outback with a few mates’.
Cellar Door and Events Manager Chelsea Saint says the winery is excited to help out with the 29th annual event when they host over 300 bashgoers.
“So we count ourselves really lucky to be involved in such a fantastic initiative,” she said.
“Recharging the tanks of those people who are providing invaluable support and delivering crucial resources to those in need in communities across regional Australia.”
The bash-goers will spend tonight in Whyalla before crossing the Nullarbor on their way to Geraldton.
So far, the Variety Vic Bash has covered 112,902 kms and raised in excess of $26 million. Last year alone, Variety was able to directly impact the lives of 12,290 Victorian kids through over $1.6 million in grants.
