Two drivers have copped hefty speeding fines late last week on the Flinders Ranges Highway.
Quorn Police detected a Toyota station wagon travelling at 142 kilometres in a 110 zone. Police issued the 55-year-old man a $1,532.00 'on the spot fine'.
That same day the same police patrol detected a grey Volkswagon station wagon travelling at 161 kilometres also in a 110km zone.
The 49-year-old man from Adelaide was issued an 'on the spot fine' of $1,718.00 and his licence was disqualified for six months.
The road toll is currently sitting at 91 compared to 61 at the same time last year.
