Students from Port Pirie’s St Mark’s College are once again supporting the Share the Dignity’s “It’s in the Bag” campaign, which helps women and girls Australia, who are experiencing homelessness or poverty this Christmas.
Students successfully donated 60 bags to the campaign last year, which went directly to women in surrounding regional areas.
The group of year 9 students behind this year’s project, have surpassed their target with 80 bags set to be donated.
St Marks College have stated that, “The students have been involved in all stages of the process, from planning fundraising activities, to purchasing essential items and packing the bags themselves.”
The donated bags will be given to Uniting Country SA to distribute in time for Christmas.
