A group of Port Pirie trainee’s have recently graduated from a heavy industry and trades skills course.
Program organiser Lynn Wallace, of Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North, stated that 15 young people took part in the course, graduating at the Function Centre at Memorial Oval.
The course which provided insight into four areas; electrical and renewables, engineering, construction and civil as well as mining.
Eight students have already attained full-time jobs after graduating, as electrical apprentices, laborers and concreters.
