South Australia has experienced a spike in deaths and road trauma on our roads in the last year.
Sixteen motorcyclists have died on our State’s roads so far this year, compared to nine last year.
A new licencing legislation was introduced by the South Australian Labor party on April 1st of this year, but the Liberals have blocked the Bill 12 times in Parliament and refused to bring it to debate.
Since the legislation was first introduced, there have been eight motorcycle fatalities on South Australian roads.
South Australian Labor Leader Peter Malinauskas said, “We need to make sure that new motorcyclists are better trained and better equipped to ensure their own safety and the safety of others on our roads.”
