Four people have been caught drink and drug driving during a recent five-day blitz by Whyalla Highway patrols.
Last Tuesday police stopped a 53-year-old Whyalla Stuart man who returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
On Friday a 47-year-old woman from Whyalla Norrie returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
Just after 5pm on the same day a 45-year-old Whyalla Stuart woman, also tested positive to cannabis.
All three drivers had their vehicles impounded for 28 days, with further sample analysis pending.
Also on Friday, a 64-year-old man from Gladstone returned a positive alcohol reading of 0.120.
The man was issued with an instant licence disqualification for a period of six months and his car was impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
