Police and emergency services crews attended the scene of a serious crash on the Yorke Highway after a car and road train collided near Port Arthur in the State's Mid North yesterday.
Just before 5am, a car travelling east on the Yorke Highway collided head-on with a road train travelling west, about 4kms west of the Copper Coast round-about.
The driver of the car allegedly had critical injuries and was transported to Adelaide for treatment via helicopter. The truck driver was not injured in the crash.
Roads were temporarily closed yesterday on the Yorke Highway, but are now open.
