The Copper Coast Council have shared that Councillors Tim Love, Dean Rodda, Brent Walker and Margaret Pope recently received a tour of the Moonta Town Hall repair and upgrade works.
The current works on the deteriorated roof trusses are being carried out by contractors who were on site along with Copper Coast Council’s CEO Russell Peate and the Director of Infrastructure Services Tim Neumann.
Council have stated that, the rectification work is “Utilising the existing geometry for the trusses to keep the exterior of the roof looking as it was back in 1885.”
This project was partly funded by the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Programme - Extension, Round Two, where Council received $1 million dollars in funding for approved projects across the Copper Coast Council area.
