Today is the last day for Port Augusta locals to have their say on the city’s Council rates, which are currently being reviewed.
Council are welcoming community feedback on the proposed changes to the basis of rating for the 2021/2022 rating year.
Key changes include moving from site value being the basis of rating to capital value, as well as shifting from a minimum rate to a fixed charge, where everyone pays a base set amount.
A variety of paper-based feedback forms are available from the Civic Centre Foyer, Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden and the Wadlata Outback Centre and should be returned to Council.
All feedback is due by 5:00pm today, to submit your feedback an online form is available here
