$140-Million Package by Federal Government to Boost Heavy Vehicle Rest Areas

Locals who regularly drive the regions’ freeways will be able to have their say on where new rest areas should be.

The survey will be part of a wider $140-million package by the Federal Government which aims to boost the construction and improvement of heavy vehicle rest areas across the country.

Local governments can now apply for funding through the Australian Government’s Heavy Vehicle Rest Area grant funding opportunity.
