In a big week for the Port Augusta golf club, the Elders Golf Classic concluded with resounding success.
Over 750 rounds of golf were played during the event held last week.
Weather remained favorable, with only a single day of winds and light rain.
Hosting golfers from 43 clubs across South Australia and beyond, the event saw around 141 visitors.
The Championship events, held from Wednesday to Friday saw local golfer Ceri Nicholson clinch her 24th victory in the Women’s A Grade Championship.
Notably, Course Superintendent Cory Keenan’s efforts were hailed for maintaining the course impeccably.
However, the elusive Hole in One prize remained unclaimed in the weeklong celebration of golf.
