In time for summer, the Booleroo Centre Memorial Swimming Pool has recently undergone significant improvements, with a total cost of $140,000.
The upgrades addressed an ongoing water leak by repairing underground pipework and re-fiberglassed the existing pool facilities.
Mayor Stephen McCarthy praised the outcome, stating that it significantly extends the pool’s usability for both the present and the future community use.
While a grant application for a larger redevelopment was unsuccessful due to the discontinuation of the funding program, this investment reflects the council’s fiscal approach, achieving positive outcomes for asset renewal and community service continuity.
The council acknowledges and thanks the contractors and volunteers who contributed to the pool’s operation and maintenance.
