After a light aircraft crashed after it hit a horse on take-off at Brentwood on the Yorke Peninsula Sunday morning.
The pilot and passenger escaped the aircraft. The pilot, a 63-year-old local man was flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries. The passenger, a 56-year-old local woman was uninjured.
While the horse was being treated by a vet for injuries sustained police have confirmed that it unfortunately has died.

Senior Constable Jen Cullinan said she was sorry to say that the horse didn’t recover from its injuries and has had to be put down.
