The couple behind the Mintaro Maze have decided now is the time to hang up the hedge trimmers…
Mick and Sharon Morris planted more than 800 hedge trees back in 1995 which now form the walls of the famous Mid-North tourist attraction.
Since moving to the town in 1988 they have been instrumental in building the town’s tourism footprint.
But with Mick approaching 70 they’ve decided now is the time to step back and allow some fresh faces to take over, putting the site up for sale.
She believes the maze has a lot of potential and would love if someone young could take over and have things like nighttime openings and events — while of course also having a passion for gardening.
The Morrises will continue on as managers of the town’s other major attraction, Martindale Hall.
