A new campaign, ‘Buy SA. For SA.’, has been launched to encourage South Australian shoppers to prioritise local products over interstate or overseas ones.
The campaign, run by Brand SA, aims to divert $1 in every $20 of consumer spending towards local products, potentially keeping hundreds of millions of dollars within the local economy.
With support from major supermarkets and retailers, shoppers can identify the State Brand on items and contribute to the local economy.
The initiative is the first multi-platform and independently run campaign by Brand SA since its re-establishment.
Over 60 iconic South Australian businesses, including Beerenberg, Haigh’s Chocolates, and Adelaide Crows, were involved in the campaign’s production.
Businesses are encouraged to access campaign assets at BuySA.sa.gov.au and register to use the State Brand.
