Police are investigating an assault following a two-car crash near Warnertown Tuesday and are appealing for witnesses.
Police were called to Augusta Highway at Warnertown after reports of a two car crash.
It is alleged that a side swipe collision occurred just south of Warnertown.
Both vehicles stopped on the highway and the driver of a white SUV allegedly assaulted the driver of a silver Subaru station wagon before leaving the scene.
The driver of the Subaru suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault and was breath tested, providing a positive result of 0.123.
He was issued with a six month instant loss of license and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
Police are asking members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
