Over the next month, Port Pirie Council will start replacing a large section of the existing grass area in the War Graves section of the Port Pirie Cemetery.
The works are required due to existing lawn being overrun with carpet weed and also to repair the overall health of the grass within the area.
The community of the works as the sections of the community is being informed of the works since the lawn due to be replaced will be sprayed prior to removal and replacement the area may become unsightly as the grass dies, however this is essential to complete the works effectively.
